The AgriPV Tocantins project was developed in partnership with the ALIAR Association in Miracema do Tocantins, Brazil, with the goal of integrating solar photovoltaic energy into agricultural production at a seedling nursery. The existing ALIAR facility, which supports vegetable production and initiatives to combat hunger, will be upgraded through the installation of a 4.9 kWp AgriPV system. The system will power solutions such as automated irrigation, lighting, water pumping, and other essential equipment.

In addition to generating clean energy, the project promotes local capacity building, community awareness workshops, and increased seedling production, with an estimated 5,000 additional seedlings produced each year. This is the first known application of AgriPV technology in a seedling nursery in Brazil, making the project a national reference for integrated solutions that connect food security, renewable energy, and community development.

With significant social, environmental, and economic impacts, the project aims to inspire public policies and encourage the replication of similar initiatives across other Brazilian biomes. The initiative is led by Revolusolar, with technical support from specialized consultants and suppliers.
